Yield to The Authentic Moment Like A Virgin

So you think the Cha Cha Cha, the Salsa or Bachata is playful?

Burn the Dance floor in the art of PLAY! One of the "PLAY" choreography palettes is "Y"= Yield to the authentic moment."

My friends were on the way to BC lions games and we ran into each other. We haven't seen each other and danced together for a long time. I don't know when we gonna play on the dance floor again. I decided to capture that moment in the journal for my exotic salsa adventures.

Off she jumped with such vigor. We danced in less than 60 seconds. So they quickly caught the next skytrain.

Yield to the authentic moment is one of the most powerful BOLDPLAY principles. It will give you your life back when you are hold prisoner by distractions, busy-ness. From the past or the future quickly back to the present moment. We how hectic life can be.

Heaven forbids. Each authentic moment is a virgin experience.

Wonder where those amazing moments have gone? Resist it. It will escape from you.

International Aritst Day - World's First Giant Human Parrot

My mother said to me, "If you become a soldier, you'll be a general; if you become a monkyou'll end up as the pope." Instead, I became a painter and wound up as Picasso. ~ Pablo Picasso

Today is International Artist Day. The day chosen to honor artists and their contributions to humanity worldwide is October 25th, Pablo Picasso's birthday, one of the most influential painter of all time. Also, it marks week 4 of my birthday Oct 4 celebrations of exotic adventures.

My friends say I'm an artist. Well, aren't we all?

Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up. ~ Pablo Picasso

Inspired by my parrot Baby Picasso, I map out different pieces of the puzzle and in the process to create the world's first 12 foot tall giant human parrot prototype - an exotic salsa dancing parrot. Sitting on a creative goldmine of choreography ideas, photos, videos, designs and sketches, I've gathered, toyed with what capture my imaginations and my heart in the exotic adventures over the years.

My first giant attempt for a big project!!

My exotic adventures guide will be the creative challenges on the way. I love the thrill. Without doubt, inspirations from my beloved Master of Destruction, parrot Baby Picasso and kick-ass Master Painter, Pablo Picasso will keep my choreography canvas fresh, youthful and playful. I'm open to possibilities and help along the journey. Naked faith and gut instinct will high-fly my vision.

Yesterday, Baby Picasso and I went to stores to buy some fabrics. The head pattern cut, fabric colors chosen. Today I will meet up with my team of pattern-maker, sewer, fabric cutter to see how it goes.

It will soon be unveiled to Vancouver and the world. We will be parroting, playing, exotic salsa dancing on the streets in the urban jungle.

So you think it should fly too, eh? :)

Is Pablo Picasso is a parrot lover? I don't know. His paintings definitely are darn colorful.

Is parrot Baby Picasso an artist? You bet. Hairstylist, fashion designer, sculptor, escape artist and visual artist. Look at the stylized half-naked feathered body. Then there are mysteriously disappeared and parrot-sculpted buttons beak-crafted on my "parrot-designer" pants and shirts.

Burn The Dance Floor Website Down. Call for Bold, New Vision

BurnTheDanceFloor.com's website is down. I apologize some emails got lost and were unable to reach me and find me. I try to get it up and running.

I'm still up, thanks goodness. I also look up the sky for divine inspiration and signs of the whereabouts of parrot Baby Picasso.

On an emotional roller coaster ride of lost, ecstasy and hope, I spent some time revising and clarifying my personal vision/mission statement for my coaching, entertainment and creative practice. While doing this I realize what I have for my work and Baby Picasso is closely related to my personal vision.

Having a role (rather than just a job) that reflects my personal vision/mission is like having Superpower that provide guidance, wisdom. It's uber powerful and sexy. It fires me up in the morning or at night. It has allowed me to create a business life that truly reflects who I'm and be authentic.

And the downtime is a great reminder for website re-branding. Any makeover simply won't cut it.

The website need an exotic makeover because it will reflect a bold, new vision, driven by core values of passion, adventure, playfulness, exotic, love, freedom ... and kickass. (read amazing)

I ask myself:

What really hold us back to live our passions that make us come alive? Make our eyes wide open?

Like Captain Jack Sparrow, Conan is also a pirate and adventurer in his own right. Conan the Barbarian is a thief, pirate and warrior, he sure is audacious, bold, courageous and one badass who will fight to survive and protect those he is loyal to.

In a raw, wild Barbarian battle and comically seductive dance choreography, street-theater style, I will direct, choreograph, teach and perform dynamically in the park to the street. We will shoot and document the powerful event. As we play and dance, we will slaughter a few sexy zombies, ugly monsters, living dead, or human beasts who stand in our way. Beg for mercy!

But you can't deny our law-abiding animal friends committing some loud crimes --- enjoy each other companion, accompanied by beautiful music that intoxicates the body, mind and spirit.

Please be respectful. You will call the animal shelter and local SPCA about animal cruelty cases, won't you? Do you see more dead birds' corpse lying around on the beach next day after the fireworks? How about piles of feathers mysteriously fallen off due to immense psychological torture? The crows, squirrels and coyotes, raccoons start the bad habits of hanging out not within their own species, but with your cows, goats, chicken, horses, kitties, puppies and exotic salsa dancing! How about doing the 10 dances Salsa, Dirty Dancing, Bachata, Samba, Cha-Cha-Cha, Merengue, Tango, Waltz, Foxtrot, Paso Doble? They embrace diversity and multiculturalism! Superhero Calling For Help! Team Raymondo Chan

After many restless days and nights, I want to make some important announcements.

I am excited to enter the contest live@YVR for 80 days and 80 nights as a storyteller, airport correspondent. I got the email confirmation from the agency of YVR that I'm eligible to enter as the rules have changed. You no longer need to be born in Canada, as long as you are Canadian. "Be careful what you wish for, because it could come true." How exotic sexy?!

The pre-arranged booking of the exotic cruises on August 28 due to the contest, that date has to change and will be announced soon.

Some of you have asked me about my brand new coaching program, Exotic Salsa Adventures. It is sinful trying to cook and perfect it for too long. I have been conducting secret experiments, known briefly to a few close friends to reinvent myself, along with parrot Baby Picasso to document our journey through photos and videos since Baby Picasso was born 4 years ago.

I play host and entertain as Captain Jack Parrot with my sidekick, Mischief Officer Baby Picasso during Pirates of the Caribbean 4: on Strangers Tide movie release, Exotic Salsamaster, foreign correspondent from the Animal Kingdom, Michael Buble crazy tour concert, Lady Gaga Monster Ball street party. You know the most challenging part is? Making the decision to share my passion and embark on the adventure and undertake to play (dance) the wild-est, most amazing game anywhere, anytime. (exciting, can be a bit scary at times to get out of the comfort zone, well, it's well worth it. :)

I will play and dance in a bolder, bigger game in scale and scope. I will create and choreograph a live event, adventuring to the airport instead of just within the city.

Parrot Baby Picasso Bailed Out

The identification is positive.

"Rawrrrrrrk Rawrrrrrrrrrrk!!! ... " Unusal, racuous screams down the hallway, soon after parrot Baby Picasso hears my voice. This is no scream therapy session.

"I'm here. Help! Let me out. Get me out of the prison now!" The calls are so loud and clear even for the hearing impaired.

Besides, when it come to the kiss test, Baby Picasso knows and I know my lips can never be mistaken as someone's else, right?!

Have you ever wondered what is it like dancing with gangsters? I bet you would never forget. I quickly bailed Baby Picasso out of the jail cell.

After close observation of the reactions in the crowd and at home, parrot Baby Picasso has recovered greatly and is sound. It has been such an emotional roller-coaster ride for the last few days. I'm recuperating after much deprived rest wrestling with the case to gain my strength and doses of sanity back on my detour.

Many of you wrote me in disbelief about the kidnapping or parrot-napping of Baby Picasso during the Vancouver International Festival on Saturday. I was totally shocked and furious myself about what happened. Baby Picasso was enjoying the concert inside a home carrier. It is the first time in 4 years this ever happened despite my friends' watchful eyes on such beautiful day. I went to check out the Lost and Found of the Jazz Festival office near the Round House greeted by a team of very nice, friendly staff. A woman recovered her small cell phone, but a big 3 feet tall parrot in a carrier was not there. I walked back a second time only to be mistaken the scream of a kid as that of Baby Picasso, near the office.

"So where the hell is Baby Picasso?"
I keep my finger-crossed.

"On an adventure!" a friend exclaimed with a beautiful grin. Understanding my frustration, she threw her arms around me with a big, warm hug and kiss my cheeks, lest I forget to smile. What a magical calming effect when you are disoriented. I reset my mind with a much better adventure compass.

My plan and schedule were vastly disrupted, missed interviews and I can only do my best. Teaching Exotic Salsa Dancing in 60 Seconds for Less without my assistance and dance partner presence felt so different. Baby Picasso missed the concert by our talented singer and friend, Wil Campa and his band's explosive performance, dancing in the rain that evening. The rain couldn't stop the energy of the crowd. At least, we enjoyed magnificent performance of Rumba Calzada with band leader and percussionist Raphael Geronimo in the afternoon. The exotic-sexy and playful Gypsy King tune would help boost Baby Picasso and my immune system to prepare what the unexpected challenges ahead. I will share my interviews, dancing during the filming when I get the chance to edit the footage of the amazing live Latin jazz concerts in Burn The Dance Floor's Passion Without Borders, exotic adventure series.

I'm extremely grateful for every blessing. What is my treasure? Now my love, dance and adventure partner-in-crime is back with me. With more clarity, it's time to re-focus and catch up with piles of work, choreography, coaching and filming.

How can you possibly plan everything when you are committed to live your life of wild, amazing, exotic adventure? No, you can't.

Baby Picasso and I had a blast performing, interviewing, teaching Exotic Salsa Dancing in "Captain Jack Sparrow." Or shall I say in "Captain Jack Parrot" style at Cineplex Entertainment SilverCity, in Metropolis!

As far as Captain Jack Sparrow dancing sequence in the movie with Angelica, it is not what I would expect, but incredible beautiful and seductive. You and partner can learn a few things about the art of seduction. Pay attention to the allure of the eyes movement. Simple? Not for beginners. You've got to watch it carefully.

Mermaids are the new vampires.

The sirens of the high sea go from hot to deadly in seconds. Oh boys and girls, can they dance?!! The hop in and out, jumping, dancing on a bloody feeding frenzy. If there is any special about this franchise. One thing for sure is the sexy mermaids, not the Walt Disney kind. Is this R-rated or PG 13?

He will no longer be choreographing, coaching, performing, dancing, directing.

Thanks to the unprecedented success of Raymondo Chan's book and movie deals of his wild, exotic adventures and to the dedication of beloved blockbuster director, Steven Spielberg and Hollywood producer, Jerry Bruckheimer, he will now live as a fat, nutty, morbid monk in Parrot Island, his secluded, private, lush tropical island, somewhere near the Caribbean. Islands of Lady Gaga and Anthony Robbins are not too far away.

Instead of consuming himself to burn the dance floor anywhere, anytime, he is too slothful to put out any bond fire for BBQ anywhere, anytime. Provisions are made for authentic doggy houses of Michael Buble and Jackie Chan surprise visits.

Spring has arrived. Can you smell it? Just take a deep breath of the fresh aroma in the air. You will know what I mean. Get outside for a minute, will you?

The new season sprouts new life, breathes new hope. To many the new year has just begun. Nearly 300 million people around the world celebrates, Nowruz, Persian New Year which begins on the first day of spring. I enjoy the rich and diverse cultures Vancouver offers.

With new and renewed hope, I feel my life has just begun! Despite a slow turtle start, I'm eager to embrace the new year of the Rabbit with new exotic, sexy, amazing adventures with parrot Baby Picasso in our recovery and transformation. By the way, this is not the year of the Turtle.

October is my birthday month. And I'm consciously thinking of death a lot recently. It sounds crazy? I'm passionate about dancing, performance arts, being truly alive and how to live life fullest potential.

Coincidentally, a close, talent friend, an animal lover, passed away recently. It is sad, though his funeral invitation is a celebration of his adventure. I hope he had lived well. It also deepens my convictions of what living is all about and forces me to confront my own mortality.

Death, like sex is a taboo subject in our society,

apart from entertainment purposes in TV, movies or games. Living can be way more scarier than you dressing in monster, blood or gores, humanoid, big fat Pumpkin or Mickey mouse during Halloween! I'm talking about the worst kind fear --- living with regrets. In your grand old age of 100 years, you looked back on your rocking chair. You wonder where the hell were you? If you're fortunate to live that long.

Daily regrets is the worst death of its kind with his close cousin hopelessness. Asking yourself where were you? Where were the lost love and lost opportunities? Chances you didn't take? Things you cannot do because your once youthful body and heart cannot handle them vigorously?

It's hard for me to imagine not being able to dance anymore. So no more dirty dancing, exotic salsa dancing, Bachata, cha cha cha, samba, rumba, tango, ... I don't even know what could happen in 5 years from now.

I'm expecting to celebrate my next birthday. Didn't Bruce Lee and Marilyn Monroe die too young too. I'm waking up this morning!

Many adults, not just kids, love to dress themselves up into someone or something else they fantasize, adore and even forbidden. Where you normally be frowned upon as childish, stupid or silly in the Halloween outfit now are celebrated, even at work. You're probably being admired for your creativity and courage especially you work in the conservative industry. Treat or trick, you cannot deny the crazy spirit of Halloween.

Only the real ghosts and spirits need to hide away from us the humans because they couldn't recognize who we are. That scare the hell out of them. Yes, you can even wake up the dead from the cemetery without turning on your ipod ghetto blaster!

Costumes and props are important to develop the realism for your persona and character to kill the old character. They are not only the trick of the trade. They are performing in a show. They are not for actors and performers in Cirque de Soleil or Dancing with the Stars. To feel the part, you must dress yourself up and dress mentally too. It helps you outside in and inside out. You may say you're not an actor, performer, or in a show. Think about it, your daily job is a performance too. Whether you are a teacher, salesperson, executive, you too are giving a performance.

How dare you let Halloween the only time of the year to die from your old self, your amazing, creative self?

What would you dress up to conquer your fear, sexy Halloween style?

Harness your child inside, your silliness into creative play and productivity. Go die every day and enjoy the process. Inject some sexy fun out of it, will you?

I was directing and choreographing at the video shoot along with Baby Picasso, my parrot at Granville Island the other day.

We also had a surprise guest star flew and stopped by! A blue heron. I was so astounded by how it move and dance!

Dance is movement. The animal kingdom has been dancing since ancient times! Yes, YOU ... the human animal species!

So You Think You CANNOT Dance? Think again.
I teach people how to dance, many would say I cannot dance. May be your hip is not listening to you or your two feet is playing tug of war with you. No worry.

I saw a brightly dressed young lady with her friends sitting at the restaurant. So I went up to her to invite her for a dance, "Shall we dance?"

The lady said, "No, sorry, I can't dance."

"All right ... Can you walk?" I ask. I'm not talking about the kind of catwalk that I teach models on runway. Or parrotwalk on the tree branches.

"Really?" she was not so sure.

"Yes! Really. If you can walk, I can show you how to dance!" I affirmed.

Her eyes open up a bit more.

"Okay, if you can MOVE, I can show you how to dance!"

A bit stiff on her face, but we hit the dance floor dancing to some Salsa Latin rhythm. A few minutes later, her death sentence to my invitation was over.

"Thank You!" she said energetically, smiles written all over her face.

Thanks goodness, I'm not dead yet. I'm still alive. Dance is movement. Movement is life. Move and dance! Because dancing feels great! It make you look and feel younger! : ) Get into shape is a bonus by exercising your body.

Feathers and FAT on FATher's Day

Reflecting on this day, I had a very happy childhood. I was so naughty in my own nutty ways that drove my dad crazy at times.

FATther's Day is not a FAT Day!
But it reminds me a fat, juicy steak. Why?
My dad loved steak. I love it too. Some juicy mango deserts too. My family and I liked going for a very nice dinner celebration. It's not going to make you FAT if you honour and celebrate with your father.

FatHer's Day is not a "FAT HER" Day!
You will not fatten the woman who loves her man, the daughter who loves her daddy sharing some tasty, healthy meals or Dim Sum. It is a tradition to celebrate and share a meal in my culture. All right, you can have some power walk, roller skate or exotic salsa dancing afterwards to burn off the fat. Not to worry about the extra calories. I am going to take the FAT out of FATher's day. If you know of the special man, boyfriend or dad who want to burn off the extra fat, I'm happy to help with some hot Latin dance classes.

Father's Day is not a FEATHERS Day!
But I want to add some f E a t h e r s back to Father's Day. Feathers Father? Sometimes people comment Baby Picasso as my child. Me a giant parrot? Do you see any feathers in me? : )

Ok maybe you see me at the Exotic Cruises and Masquerade party. I admit I love feathery masks. I'll let you know when the next one is. Here was a past video. I am not Baby Picasso's daddy. I consider myself a guardian and best friend. Om ... Honour all the great parrot fathers loving, loyal to their families in the wild.
Baby Picasso does not have steak dinner. : )

Most of all Father's Day reminds me of my Dad, a loving, kind and dedicated man who had a passion and respect for his work and family.

I LOVE YOU DAD. Missed you. Eternally gratefully for having known you.

No joke. Here is June. Half a year swiftly jumps.

I expect this month sweet and juicy. How will you kick off JUICY JUNE after MAD MAY?

Baby Picasso, the parrot, LOVES the sweet and juicy stuff! "La Dolce Vita!" in Italian means The Sweet Life! or The Good Life!

The song "La Dolce Vita" by Soraya Arnelas is playing like a sexy, curveous football (soccer) jumping on my forehead and bouncing all over my body. The song has such an amazingly upbeat, lively melody. Baby Picasso and I love listening and dancing a Cha Cha Cha to La Dolce Vita.

Viva Italia! After a 28 long years, Italian Day is coming back to Commercial Drive tomorrow, 12pm - 8pm Sunday, June 6. It will signal the kick off party for the World Cup from June 11 to July 11. Commercial Drive was once the heart of Vancouver's Italian Community. These days North Burnaby is commonly referred to as Little Italy, although it misses the same feel and character The Drive still has.

My name is Raymondo Chan. Raymondo is an Italian name. So I will go celebrate and play.

Catch me get in some football action ... while Cha Cha Cha! More likely in some meatball action for my hungry tummy. ; )

April Fool and the Giant Free-Flight Parrot:
Choreographer, Exotic SalsaMaster, Raymondo Chan, is genetically transformed into a parrot with a pair of giant wings growing on his back. Has he got a venomous flying snake bite? An ESD 2010 virus? ('Exotic Salsa Dancing' virus) or what?

Raymondo and parrot Baby Picasso, a blue and gold Macaw,
his best friend and adventure partner-in-crime are lost
during predator chase in a heavy rainstorm when the birds migrate to
the new Garden of Eden in the Amazon rainforest from Vancouver, British Columbia Canada.

In his desparate search for Baby Picasso deep in the jungle, a mad scientist and a voodoo doctor captured Raymondo and turn him into a cobalt blue Hyacinth Macaw parrot in their wicked experiment.

To the Fools' heart delight, they think they will lock him up in the
cage, sell him for fat profits during for the high priests carnival
along with his other animal friends.

What happen when Raymondo is on the boat in the river? Can he escape? Will he reunite with Baby Picasso?

Happy April's Fool & Happy Easter!

Dear friends,

Can you imagine yourself being a giant, free-flight parrot?

I do in my next life or in the movie screen, at least.

As you see in the video:

Watch out for any real or imagined cages that trap and fool you! Like endless over-worries, fears, self-defeating beliefs and limits, bad habits or toxic relationships that hold you back from realizing your full potential, dreams and goals.

I will keep fooling around badly with the lock so I can kill my false ego that fools me and break free!

So it is not such a bad idea fooling around if you could be a giant parrot flying free and learn from your 'mistakes' and 'victories' in life!

Find your freedom in the pursuit of happiness!

"Hello! Hello!" Parrot Baby Picasso Wishing you a nutty time! Sexy time!

Thank You so much to my family, friends, customers for all the love, friendship and support.

This year the first day of the Lunar New Year is coincided with Valentine day, and start during the Vancouver 2010 Olympics Winter Game. It's quite special.

I consider having one more opportunity to reflect on past year and make New Year resolutions ...lots to be grateful for.

The Chinese New Year or Spring Festival is an exciting 15 days of most joyful, spirited, and big celebration of festivities. Majestic and energetic dragon and lion dancing performances, heart-popping fire crackers. Giving blessings to one another, gifts sharing, visiting friends and families. Of course, enjoying the many delicious mouth-watering food, like dumplings and "Lin Gao" cakes. You may be lucky to get some red pocket money.

Everyone is welcome to be part of the lively celebration, regardless of culture. Vancouver is so multi-cultural. It is a reason why I love Vancouver, besides the warmer weather.

What does tiger symbolizes? Power, strength and boldness. How about setting some bold, powerful, dangerous new goals that really inspire yourself to the next level?

One of my goals is to re-invent myself by living dangerously and more in the NOW. "The presence" is a gift.

The thrill of New Year resolutions is the very idea of giving yourself a fresh, new start, a new beginning, perhaps a bit of magic waiting. A new beginning always gives me a sense of hope. You are writing a new chapter of your life.

I think it is less about making new resolutions, rather it is a sense of hope and personal power towards what you are really capbable of and CAN DO TODAY, no matter how much past "failures" or "successes" you have.

Do not let the past and the future destroy the beauty of the day. Be more passionately playful, dangerously authentic and creatively tenacious.

By dangerously inventing myself, I know that will powerfully translate into how I can help my clients, students and more people to improve their life and business. My parrot will go crazy when it see nuts. So let me see with crazy eyes what I can offer in my creative marketing services, Exotic Salsa Dancing coaching and entertainment, parties, and workshops. :)

If you haven't made yours yet or haven't been able to keep your resolutions, why not embrace this special celebration?

Do you know that more than 75% of people who set New Year's resolutions will break them within 3 months and almost one-third will break them by the end of the first month. Most people end up being another statistic. You don't have to be one.

Whether to lose weight, stop smoking, break bad habits, get in shape, change your career, earn more, attract true love, create passion, expand your positive circle of influence, make new friends, learn a new language, travel around the world trip, fly an helicopter, learn salsa dancing, help the less fortunate, give to the poor, or be more loving, naughty, adventurous and cheerful.

According to statistics, those who keep their resolutions for “at least two years report an average of 14 slips or setbacks during that time.”

So don't give up that fast yet! Don't let your fear bully you or chain you into a prison cell. Don't beat yourself up. Rest if you will. Be more loving, forgiving and compassionate to yourself.

You don't need to be competing as an Olympic athlete in the Vancouver 2010 Olympics Winter Games. Light up your flaming torch. Keep the fire burning within you. Don't forget to cheer yourself every step of the way. Keep moving forward. Learn from the setbacks. Celebrate your wins, no matter how small.

What is your 2010 game plan?

Decide some most important goals whether physically, mentally, spiritually, or financially. Make the changes you want. Get a workable plan. Build the momentum. Call a friend, get some help and coaching.

Rawrr! Roar! Rawrr!

Starting this fabulous February, I shall call it FLIRTY FABRUARY.
Stretching the comfort zone, I'm sure I will court and flirt with more danger.

A Gift From Heaven - Still awake?

"What a feeling! Am I in heaven or in a jungle paradise?" I smiled at my "new alarm clock".

Just have a big parrot flies and lands on me, waking me up in the morning. Parrot Baby Picasso's new bedroom is next to mine. Soon, Baby Picasso jumped off, walked around and pecked on my toe. Aww! ... naughty bird. Then a lovely morning kiss. Ok, I get up now.

It has been one month since my birthday. But, there is no time better than to reflect upon your life than today.

Question posed in L’Intransigeant during the summer of 1922:

“An American scientist announces that the world will end,or at least that such a huge part of the continent will be destroyed, and insuch a sudden way, that death will be the certain fate of hundreds of millionsof people. If this prediction were confirmed, what do you think would be itseffect on people between the time when they acquired the aforementionedcertainty and the moment of cataclysm? Finally, as far as you’re concerned,what would you do in this last hour?”

Marcel Proust, in a letter, responds:

Breaking News: Dirty Dancing Star Patrick Swayze dies at 57

I was in total disbelief and shock when I heard on CBC radio 2 that Patrick Swayze passed away today.

"Patrick Swayze, who had breakout roles in steamy pic 1987 movie 'Dirty Dancing' and later romanced Demi Moore in 'Ghost,' died in Los Angeles on Monday after a nearly two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 57." - Variety News

Happy Memories flash back to 2004 when I presented, taught, performed dirty dancing during the sensational movie release opening "Dirty Dancing 2: Havana Nights", presented by Burn The Dance Floor.com at Famous Players. One of my impressive, very shy, 6'3'' students was performing demonstrating with me.

Crazy back then, inspired. I offered the only course: Dirty Dancing 101 for the Fun loving, Stiff or Shy in Vancouver. My goal was simply to help students to develop more confidence, overcome shyness, and unleash what inhibits them. I was even thinking about Dirty Dancing 3. Sadly, this will not happen with Patrick Swayze. Peace and love be with you, forever.

MY LOVE BABY PICASSO, THE PARROT WAS LOST AND FOUND

Since many of my friends has been asking me or you may not know. Yes, Baby Picasso, my love was lost and FOUND. My free-flight dance partner-in-crime is back. Home sweet home with me. It was chased away by four seagulls during a media party at the rooftop penthouse at Loden Hotel. Baby Picasso was located the next day in Stanley Park.

So THANK YOU for your support and kind regards!

We love you all! It really put a smile on my face.

1. Responsibilities:
This requires high-energy, driven and high adaptability while wearing different hats in the start-up phase. 80% project management, sales and execution, 20% strategy and planning

2. Eating Chaos for Breakfast: You will spend a lot of time with me discussing goals, vision, strategy, tactics: event and product marketing, branding, creative development, communication implementation and measurement.

3. Market, write proposal, budget, sell, activate sponsorships and service the accounts, develop timeline, milestones.

4. Find creative ways to maximize, leverage existing and new opportunities and create revenue streams.
· Ensure critical goals, milestones and sales are met.
· Develop, increase fans, clients and membership base
· Maximize exposure: PR, press release, website, blog, social media tools e.g. facebook, youtube, twitter
· Foster strong relationship to help clients succeed: strategic alliance, affiliates, sponsors

Ideally, you have club, conference, tradeshow planning and sponsorship, project management experience, and/or film, entertainment, agency side account management background. Interests in Latin dance and music, fashion, arts, film and TV.

Compensation: will be creative and commensurate with experience. I have not decided if I want this to be a junior position or a senior position. Performance and result is the yardstick. But I also know the value of experience. So I'm open to all possibilities. Students and recent graduate are strongly encouraged to apply.

"My Valentine Will Never Be the Same Without My Love"

Dear friend, I was shocked and sad. While we were exercising and training in the afternoon, Baby Picasso was scared and chased away by a very fast moving bird. I suspect a hungry Hawk was in the chase. Things happened so fast. Now it was gone missing.

Baby Picasso is not just a pet, but my partner- in-crime, best friend, family member, and Exotic Salsa Dancing partner. Baby Picasso has been great inspiration daily to me and many with its optimistic outlook, playfulness, enthusiasm and passion for life! Always dressed up for carnival and a good party, and creating smiles on people's faces. Baby Picasso is a free-flight, blue and yellow Macaw, stand about 3 feet tall with a leg band on the feet. It can say “Hello!” and give signal call “Qwak!”

Last seen Sunday Jan 8, 3:30 pm, near 22nd at Rupert St, Renfrew Height neighborhood, Vancouver.

Please do not handle the parrot. It can be shy and very stressful. If found, give it some banana, apple, and water will help.

A reward will be given.

Vancouver Chinese New Year Parade 2009

Dancing Lions make me smile no matter how many I see. So I love the Chinese New Year Parade. I'll be happy Salsa dancing with the Lions. But it's more than just the colorful, energetic dancing lions. Embracing multiculture here in Vancouver, you get a great feeling of community, Chinese and non-Chinese, watching the parade. Expect 100,000 spectators, firecrackers and good food to be in abundance in Chinatown. Quite plentiful -- over 50 traditional lion dance teams participate. The year of The Ox falls on January 26, 2009, with 15 days of celebration. The Ox is the sign of prosperity through fortitude and hard work. Gong Hei Fat Choi! Lots of love and good lucks!

I was exotic salsa dancing in the water at an outdoor water fountain in Yaletown, Vancouver. The moves are dangerous. If I fall or slip, my expensive custom mask will have to swim and be gone. Not that I will be drown, the water is not deep. It is just not a waterproof helmet.

You cannot go wild without getting a bit wet, Baby! And I like it.
The filming was a success. Yes, I love summer! :)

Primary Responsibilities: provide efficient special events support to director as a liaison between the Burn the Dance Floor and accounts/clients, coordinate major in-house events and out-of-house events with manager, research and proposal generation, project preparation, client correspondence, on site promotion and co-ordination. Client interaction, development, and staffing of both during business hours and after-hours events. May vary depending upon the goals, skills, and interests.

Experience:

Interests in fashion, Latin dance, film and performing arts is a plus.

Sales and marketing, project experience.

Experience in the film, fashion, technology, conference, tradeshow, hospitality events. Ad agency industry is highly desirable.

PR, journalism, marketing and communications, social science or related studies preferred.

organize project plan effectively with a high performance team, file, administer office, write status and accountability report

2. Experience:
communicate, attract, and build a loyal clientele, fans base, volunteer, membership, develop communication materials, book media/entertainment appointments: press kit, release, update web content, archive, blog, webcast, podcast, create, foster strong relationship network to help clients succeed. Build strategic alliance, affiliates, partners, sponsors.

* Interests in dance, film and performing arts is a plus.
